Ranking of Top Universities in Izmir by Student Numbers - LATEST 2026

StudyLeo lists four private universities in Izmir. All four have dormitories, and you can apply to each through StudyLeo. This ranking is by number of students, from largest to smallest, not by academic quality.

Izmir University of Economics comes first with 10,738 students. It was founded in 2001, the same year as Yaşar University, which is second with 9,765 students. These two are the oldest on the list and close in size, so if you want a larger student body, they are the ones to compare.

The other two are much smaller. İzmir Kavram Vocational School, founded in 2008, has 3,300 students. Izmir Tınaztepe University is both the newest and the smallest: it opened in 2018 and has 3,103 students.

Size and founding year will not tell you whether a university has your program. Before choosing, check which programs each one teaches, in which language, and what they cost.
